The people you will meet when you visit The Island Church will be nice and friendly.

But we want you to know that we’re a bunch of broken messes.

We’re a community of people who no matter how it looks, don't have it all together. We are constantly figuring out what it means to find true life in Jesus and you follow him fully. We strive to live and serve each other and our community and we are excited for you to join us.

We care about you, not what you’re wearing. We don’t care who you’re voting for in the next election or how many tattoos you have. We’re a church full of imperfect, broken people who are coming to know Jesus, serving others and spreading the Gospel. Regardless of your story, we want you here!

We LOVE it when someone visits our church for the first time. Sometimes we don’t always recognize the first-time visitors because so many of the people who come are still fairly new, so feel free to introduce yourself and we’ll welcome you in!

We care about YOU, not what you’re wearing, so feel to come in shorts and flip-flops or whatever is comfortable. Our dress code is simple: wear something you like. Grab a hot cup of coffee and sit wherever you’d like! We will never single you out or ask you to give financially to the church.

Kids love it at Padre Island Baptist Church! If you bring your kids, you’ll check them in and out each Sunday in our check-in desk at the computer at the side entrance to the church. Babies, toddlers and preschool aged children are cared for by our loving staff and volunteers
